![]() ![]() I have read the Metro 2035 book, which Exodus is loosely based on, and without spoiling, the book isn't like the game at all in my opinion.Īnd yes the Dead City was the best chapter of the game, it finally felt like a real Metro game. (like that forced engagement with Pavel, straight up BS that if you are not aware that its about to happen and what is going to happen, and you happen to have the wrong loadout -AKA no long range weapons) you are screwed, and you going to have a real tough time getting through that level, but other than that its actually a really great game with an average story. Metro Last light in my opinion is the weakest of the franchise, but i don't think its a bad game, i just think that some of the forced encounters that they designed were just dumb. Originally posted by ♠.brT:Disagree completely with you OP. #Best metro last light backgrounds how toBut there is one thing that i was really upset with Metro Exodus, some of the things that you learned in Metro 2033 don't make its way to Metro exodus, for example, those electrical anomalies in Metro 2033, where khan thought you on how to survive them, well they don't work like that in Metro Exodus, i was really upset about that.īut anyway, i disagree with you OP, i thought Metro Exodus was a fantastic entry into the Metro Series, and for me anyway, it was the best Metro game, closely followed by the original Metro 2033 (not the remake). Exodus finale was miles better than the D6 + Tower level of the original.Īnd that is a level similar to the Library in Metro 2033 where the player can go through without firing a single shot, but different to the Library, in Exodus it is far more tense to do that.Įxodus has other examples like that, where the creepy atmosphere added on top of really scary looking mutants make for some genuine awesome levels in my opinion.Īnyway, most of this is subjective. The last level of Exodus for example was amazing, the suspense, the creepiness of everything that is happening, the genuine tension of trying to sneak past the Blind ones, fantastic, couldn't have asked for a better final level. ![]() ![]() I was worried when i heard the term open world mentioned next to the title of Metro, but my fears were ultimately set at ease when i got to play the game and see just how well they managed to marry the scripted linear story telling that made the Metro games so good, to an Open world level design.Īs for lack of mutants, i don't know, i think Exodus has plenty of mutants, even some new ones that are quite creepy, but that is subjective. I really disagree with your statement regarding the open world aspect of Metro Exodus, i think the way they handle the open world in Exodus was a lot better than other games that made the transition from linear level design to open world level design. ![]() And from what i heard (haven't finish reading the books yet) Exodus apparently follows the book a lot more closely, so bonus points right there. ![]()
